Step into the flow by syncing your activities with favorable times

We created SyncYourTime to make the practical wisdom of Panchang and Vedic astrology accessible to everyone — helping users explore favorable and less favorable times for daily activities, without giving predictions or guarantees, and without needing to study astrology, while still offering depth for the astrology-savvy.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help people explore and reflect on traditionally observed time periods favorable for starting activities, using the wisdom of Panchang and Vedic astrology — without needing to study astrology or understand technical jargon.

The SyncYourTime web app supports this mission by making it easy to analyze the quality and potential of any time period. With just a few clicks, users can explore periods traditionally observed as more or less favorable, helping them plan activities such as work, creative projects, personal reflection, or spiritual practices in alignment with the natural flow of time.

Our Values

Authenticity

We are committed to presenting authentic principles drawn from ancient astrology texts, interpreted by some of the most respected modern-day Vedic astrologers.

Simplicity without unnecessary dilution

We’ve worked hard to make SyncYourTime easy to use and accessible for non-astrologers, while still preserving essential details for those familiar with Panchang & Vedic astrology.

We care about the environment

SyncYourTime is hosted on eco-friendly servers in the EU, verified by the Green Web Foundation.

Giving back

We actively support the largest vegetarian food relief organization in Türkiye, Food For Life Association Türkiye.

Our Story

Our company, Gaura Bt, creates web-based solutions to solve and simplify everyday problems—in the office, workplace, and e-commerce.

Our goal has always been to save our clients time and effort by digitalizing manual tasks, streamlining processes, and offering tools that reduce friction in daily operations.

We began by creating custom solutions to address our own challenges—and soon realized that many others were looking for the same kind of help.

One of our first web application projects was a free astrology-related service launched in 2005, which continues to run today with over 20,000 subscribers across more than 220 locations worldwide.
It sends time-sensitive email reminders and provides importable iCal files for astrologically-based Vaisnava Hindu festivals, observances, and ceremonies.
Over 26 million email reminders have been sent to subscribers since its inception.

The Birth of the SyncYourTime Web App

The idea for the SyncYourTime Web App was born in 2015, starting — as many great projects do — from a personal need. It gradually grew over the years and developed into such a valuable resource that we decided to share it with the world.

I once read the account of a respected astrologer who, along with his wife, narrowly survived a serious car accident. After recovering, he reviewed the astrological timing of their departure on the day of the accident and found that it fell during several inauspicious Panchang elements and astrological alignments — times traditionally advised against for starting journeys.

When asked how such an experienced astrologer missed these red flags, he replied:
“In our busy lives, who has the time to calculate these things every time we step out the door?”

That story resonated with me. I realized there needed to be a tool—accessible to anyone, astrologer or not—that could quickly calculate and explore the quality of any given moment, highlighting periods traditionally observed as more or less supportive for the activities we wish to begin.

So we built SyncYourTime.com under the guidance of, and in collaboration with seasoned astrologers - a web app that provides at-a-glance insights into favorable and unfavorable time periods for activities such as travel, meetings, spiritual practice, business—practically anything.

The project steadily grew, incorporating thousands of calculations, clearly presented for both non-astrologers and astrologers alike.

About the Founder

My name is Cliff, and I was born in London in 1967. I originally trained as a vehicle electrician, specializing in computer-controlled gearboxes and braking systems.

From an early age, I was drawn to life’s deeper questions—reflecting on karma, reincarnation, and the search for spiritual meaning. I became a vegetarian at 15, and by 19 had joined a Vaisnava Hindu temple ashram to train as a monk in the Bhakti Yoga tradition. In 1986, I was formally initiated into the Vaisnava tradition and received the spiritual name Caitanya Candra das. My studies and service took me across temples in the UK, India, and Hungary, where I deepened my engagement with Vedic philosophy and practice.

I quickly discovered that the rhythm of temple life was closely connected to the Vedic calendar, with major observances based on lunar phases (Tithis), solar ingresses (Sankrantis), and lunar mansions (Nakshatras). Many daily practices were also aligned with traditional astrological timings, such as Brahma Muhurta (the first ceremony of the day), the Sandhyas (the morning, midday, and evening transitions for mantra meditation), and the natural cycles of sunrise and sunset.

One of these observances is the Ekadasi Vrata Fast — a twice-monthly fast observed on the 11th lunar day (Ekadasi Tithi) of both the waxing and waning moon. On these days, practitioners abstain from grains and pulses, increase their spiritual practices (sadhana), and minimize bodily needs and unnecessary travel—a practice that is beneficial for the body, mind, and spirit. In the SyncYourTime app, Ekadasi is clearly marked as a “Yoga Fast Day”, making it easy to recognize and observe.

After ten years as a monk—including a period serving as secretary to the head monk in both the UK and Hungary—I transitioned from monastic life to the householder stage. I married and moved to New Vraja Dhama / Krishna Valley, a spiritual community and eco-farm village in southwest Hungary. There, I continued my service as an ordained Vaisnava Hindu priest, training new monks and nuns in Bhakti Yoga and meditation, alongside other full-time responsibilities that I maintain to this day.

With nearly four decades of practice and teaching in Bhakti Yoga and meditation, I remain eager to share my enthusiasm, experience, and insights with others. SyncYourTime is one such offering—a digital tool designed to make timeless wisdom accessible to everyday people.

Since 2019, I have immersed myself in the study of Muhurta selection and Vedic astrology, learning from the works of respected teachers such as B.V. Raman, P.V.R. Narasimha Rao, Pt. Sanjay Rath, K.K. Joshi, Ernst Wilhelm, and Indrodeep Banerjee, and collaborating closely with seasoned astrologers along the way.
